Philosophy

Tiger Land provides a superior environment for nurturing children’s growth and development. Our atmosphere is positive, joyful, safe and filled with fun. Our staff encourages children to develop a secure and positive attitude about themselves and those around them. Our classroom environment is structured, yet flexible, and our activities are very “hands-on.”

Children learn by doing: dramatic play, cooking, math, science, art, language, letters, and numbers are all a part of our curriculum. Our program presents developmentally appropriate learning opportunities that challenge children to think and solve problems. We believe that children thrive on meeting challenges and succeeding!

Curriculum

We primarily use the Abeka Curriculum in our preschool classrooms. While we do not use the religous components of the Abeka Curriculum, the school celebrates the holidays of many different religions. Parents of different races, religions and nationalities are welcome to share their cultures and holidays with the classrooms in a learning format.

The teachers supplement the Abeka curriculum based on other resources and personal experiences.

Facilities and Location

Tiger Land is located in Old Katy, just across I-10 (the Katy Freeway) from Katy Mills Mall.

We are located in an 18,000 square foot stand-alone building with a huge covered drive (for easy drop-off/pickup) and we have adequate parking available as well. Our classrooms are large, airy and child friendly. Each classroom has their own boys and girls toilets and hand-washing sinks. Our shelves are full of the latest classroom toys, learning materials and curriculum. We have a computer lab with 8 desktops for children to learn and play. We also have a large indoor play center for those rainy days and two separate and distinct outside play areas for our children.
