Before & After School Care School-Age

Our school age program is designed to provide an atmosphere in which the kids can relax after a long day at public school. Upon arriving back at Tiger Land the children are provided with a snack and then are given the opportunity to complete their homework. The children then split into their age appropriate classrooms for a variety of games, computer time, outside time, sports, dramatic play, and other special activities (cooking projects, arts & craft projects, etc.).

You may choose 1) before school care only, 2) after school care only or 3) both before and after school care. Weekly tuition for before and after school programs is the same regardless of the number of days in attendance each week. During school breaks (Winter break and Spring Break), the weekly tuition for children in attendance changes to the Summer Camp weekly rate to reflect them being at Tiger Land all day long.

Summer Camp

Our summer camp program is open to all children who have completed Kindergarten through 12 years of Age. Each summer we have a theme that runs through the summer which then influences the in-house activities. Our summer campers generally take 2-3 field trips per week including bowling, movies, skating, trips to the park and swimming. We also have scheduled in-house field trips where different vendors bring a variety of activities to Tiger Land including water slides, snake shows, Dinosaur shows, etc. While not involved in field trips, the children participate in a number of on-site activities including arts and craft projects, cooking projects, various sports, outdoor play time, games (board games, card games, etc.) and computer time.

Our theme for the Summer of 2009 is "Under the Sea Adventures."

School Breaks

We are usually open on most days which Katy ISD is closed for teacher in-service days and holiday breaks (Winter and Spring Break). During these school breaks, many of our elementary age children spend the day and/or week with us and we plan a variety of fun activities and field trips to keep them entertained all day long. On these days, we do allow drop-in care for elementary age children that are not permanently enrolled at Tiger Land. See drop-in care for more information.

Field Trips

External Trips

During Summer Camp and School Breaks, the children will participate in a variety of field trips to places such as bowling, skating, movies, local area parks and other nearby attractions. The Summer Camp field trips are printed on our summer schedule and are posted in advance each week. During School Breaks, The Field trips are posted daily. the cost of each field trip is to be paid at the front desk, in cash, on the day of the field trip.

In-House Field Trips

During the Summer Camp and School Breaks, we also arrange for a number of third party service providers to provide various forms of entertainment on Tiger Land's premises. These in-house field trips include inflatable water slides, clowns, Mad Science, magicians, Field Day Competitions, pottery, stuffed animals, and many more. The costs of these in-house field trips are also to be paid at the front desk, in cash, on the day of the field trip.
